     As we set off on this journey together, I will teach you the Foundations of Success and help walk you through a series of what I have come to understand, are the crucial foundations for becoming successful and gaining wealth. I have developed, over the last two years of study, research, and application, a full guide that has not only changed my life around, but if given the chance can also change your’s. I’ve labeled this highly valuable program the “Foundations Of Success,” because it contains what I believe to be the most crucial and foundational ideas, concepts, and principles that you absolutely need to understand and apply in order to truly achieve Success in your life.

11) Habits And Routines

We are creatures of Habit. Whether you are acting intentionally or unconsciously, everything you do in life adds to a formed habit. You are either changing a habit through your effort, destroying a habit through your neglect, or adding foundation to all habits you have subconsciously developed in your life.

Create Success Habits:
In order to become successful you must create for yourself certain “Success Habits.” Habits are formed by routines that we practice consistently, and whether you do them consciously or unconsciously, you’ll see that nearly everything you do in life is because of a habit. You are where you are because of the habits you have engrained in your behavior and thinking. It’s time to become intentional about the habits you form, and to take charge of your life.
Remember, for things to change, you’ve got to change, and the best way to bring about positive change is to create for yourself success habits that will propel you forward towards the Rich Life.
If the habits you’ve gotten into aren’t serving you, change them. You’ve got to take control and take responsibility. But changing a habit isn’t easy, and that is something we will deal with in this Foundation of Success.

Successful people move from success to success because they’ve made Success a habit. The things that are easy to do, are also easy not to do. It’s important to realize that. Success is easy, it’s a matter of doing consistent things. And it’s easy to do those things. But it’s just as easy to avoid doing those things. In order to find success, you’ve got to be in a habit of doing them!

Creating habits:
When you have a new idea and you want to try something in your life, you instantly begin creating a habit. As soon as you have new knowledge and have decided to implement it into your life, you begin creating a habit, either to do the thing and be disciplined, or to not do the thing and neglect it. It’s important to realize that you are always creating a habit, a habit to either do the thing, or not do the thing.
The best way to begin to change your habits and thus change your life is to take charge of the begining of your day. Start your day off intentionally. Wake up at the time you want to wake up, give yourself time to prepare for what’s ahead, and lead your day, don’t’ let it lead you.
Set for yourself a Morning Ritual.
Nearly all successful people have established for themselves a routine that they stick to each morning. This routine, or “Morning Ritual,” is comprised of a series of things to start each day right and ensure that you have every opportunity for success. It’s important that you develop for yourself your own morning ritual that you can repeat each day, and sick too it.
In the Foundation of Habits I give you my full morning routine that you can use as a starting point for yourself. I can honestly tell you that implementing it changed my entire life.

In it’s simplest form, this is what it looks like:
5AM club.
Be productive.
Write your goals out every day.
Plan your day before you start your day. Complete your day before you begin.
Plan your day the night before. And in the morning.
Fitness: Fitness plays such a key role. Developing fitness in your life develops energy, will power, confidence, strength, and ability.
Continuous Education: Spend 20 minutes reading something in your field each morning.
Nutrition: Fuel your body and your mind with plenty of water and good, light food to begin the day and keep your brain moving.
Start on your biggest, most important task, and keep your momentum up throughout the day.

The Rudder Of the Day:
The first hour is the rudder of the day. It is often called the golden hour. If you speak with successful people and wealthy people, you will notice a common thread. Between 5am and 6am, each morning, they all get up and devote this hour towards themselves, towards setting their rudder for the day. They all identify this as the golden hour.
I have personally decided to set my sights on 5am.
Each morning, if you understand that the first hour is the Rudder of the day, you set the direction for what you want your day to look like, what mood you will be in, and what you will accomplish and how productive you will be.
Many people wake up, pressed for time. They are rushed for work, late to school, and they never take the time to set their day the way that they want it to be. Instead of being proactive, they end up being reactive. They have to react to things all throughout their day, and are never in control. We want to be proactive in the way that we handle our time and demands.

Conclusion:
Our life is run by habits whether we realize it or not. And our position in life is a result of our habits. If you don’t like where you are in life, you’ve got to change your habits and begin to be intentional about what you do, why you do it, and how you do it.
Successful people move from success to success in life because they’ve made Success a habit. They realize that the things that are easy to do, are also easy not to do, so they develop discipline and form habits around getting those things done. They realize that whether they do something, or don’t do something, they’re building a habit to that effect. Discipline yourself to form the right kind of habits in your life.
The first hour of each day is the rudder of the day. Invest that hour into yourself. Focus on setting your sail for the day and setting your priorities. This will help you stop reacting through life, and instead allow you to be proactive and to stay on point to your own demands, not the demands of others.
